Plain English in, real sales out.
The assistant picks the tools, runs the searches and answers with links to each listing.
“What has a Nintendo Switch OLED sold for on eBay this month? Link three examples.”
Claude runs ebay_sold and answers with the median, the range and links to real sales.
“I found a Coach Tabby at a thrift store for $40. Is it worth flipping?”
Poshmark and eBay sold searches show what it really sells for, so you can judge the margin.
“What's Umbreon VMAX alt art worth, and what did it last sell for?”
tcgplayer_search finds the card and tcgplayer_sales shows its recent sales.
“Find road bikes under $400 near 94103 on OfferUp.”
offerup_listings returns local listings with prices and links.
Building on Claude? Same tools, one request.
The Messages API connects to Soldgraph through the MCP connector. Claude calls the tools inside one request, so your app needs no tool code.
curl https://api.anthropic.com/v1/messages \ -H "X-API-Key: $ANTHROPIC_API_KEY" \ -H "anthropic-version: 2023-06-01" \ -H "anthropic-beta: mcp-client-2025-11-20" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "model": "claude-sonnet-5-5", "max_tokens": 2000, "messages": [{ "role": "user", "content": "What have used Switch OLEDs sold for on eBay?" }], "mcp_servers": [{ "type": "url", "url": "https://api.soldgraph.com/mcp", "name": "soldgraph", "authorization_token": "sg_your_key" }], "tools": [{ "type": "mcp_toolset", "mcp_server_name": "soldgraph" }] }'19 tools, all read-only.
One tool per search route. A completed search costs one request, the same as the API. Failed searches and the last three tools are free.

One prompt gives your assistant the endpoint, the sign-in header and how to wait for a result, so its first script works.
I'm building with the Soldgraph API. It returns sold and for-sale listings from eBay and other resale marketplaces. Read the docs first: https://soldgraph.com/llms.txt OpenAPI spec: https://soldgraph.com/openapi.json Rules for the code you write: - Base URL: https://api.soldgraph.com/v1 - Auth: send the header "Authorization: Bearer <key>". Read the key from the SOLDGRAPH_KEY environment variable. Never put it in browser code. - eBay sold prices: GET /ebay/sold?q=<search words>. Add count=200 for up to 200 rows. - A search often answers 202 with status "pending" and a poll_url. Request https://api.soldgraph.com plus poll_url with ?wait=20 and the same header, until status is "complete" or "failed". - Read result.summary for the median, low and high price. The rows are in result.data, each with title, displayed_price, sold_date and link. - Each completed search uses one request. A free account starts with 100 requests that do not refill, so save results while testing instead of repeating a search. Start with a short script that prints the median sold price for "nintendo switch oled". Then ask me what I want to build.
In Claude Desktop, open Settings, then Developer, then Edit Config. On a Mac it is ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json. On Windows it is %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json.
Claude Desktop starts servers on your computer. The config runs mcp-remote with npx, which connects it to Soldgraph's hosted server. That needs Node.js installed.
Not yet. Custom connectors on claude.ai sign in with OAuth, and Soldgraph's server uses an API key. Use Claude Desktop or Claude Code for now.
One request per completed search, the same as the API. Failed searches, account_usage and api_status are free.
