Every listing, with a link
Title, displayed price, sold date, condition, seller ID and image. Each row links to the Mercari listing so anyone can check it.
The median, worked out
Every page has a summary with the median, lowest and highest price and the range of sold dates.
Up to 100 rows a request
Set count from 1 to 100. A bigger page is still one search and costs one request.
Mercari's own filters
Condition, price range, category and brand. Mercari applies them, so the total counts only matching listings.
Six sort orders
Recently sold by default, or best match, newest, lowest price, highest price or most popular.
Active listings too
The same key searches what is for sale now with GET /v1/mercari/listings, so you can compare asking prices with what sold.
Three limits, stated up front.
These come from what Mercari search returns. Plan for them and nothing will surprise you later.
No shipping, brand or size names
Rows have no shipping fields. Mercari search returns category and brand as numeric IDs, not names.
Sold dates can be missing
The sold date is the time Mercari reports, in UTC. Some rows have none. They still count in the price summary.
US only
Results are from Mercari US. For other countries, the eBay sold listings API covers eight eBay sites.

One prompt gives your assistant the endpoint, the sign-in header and how to wait for a result, so its first script works.
I'm building with the Soldgraph API. It returns sold and for-sale listings from eBay and other resale marketplaces. Read the docs first: https://soldgraph.com/llms.txt OpenAPI spec: https://soldgraph.com/openapi.json Rules for the code you write: - Base URL: https://api.soldgraph.com/v1 - Auth: send the header "Authorization: Bearer <key>". Read the key from the SOLDGRAPH_KEY environment variable. Never put it in browser code. - Mercari sold listings: GET /mercari/sold?q=<search words>. Add count=100 for up to 100 rows. - A search often answers 202 with status "pending" and a poll_url. Request https://api.soldgraph.com plus poll_url with ?wait=20 and the same header, until status is "complete" or "failed". - Read result.summary for the median, low and high price. The rows are in result.data, each with title, displayed_price, sold_date and link. - Each completed search uses one request. The free plan has 100 a month, so save results while testing instead of repeating a search. Start with a short script that prints the median price of sold listings for "pokemon booster box". Then ask me what I want to build.
Not a public one in the US. Mercari limits API access to approved partners. The Mercari Shops API is a separate product for sellers in Japan.
Soldgraph returns Mercari US sold and active listings as JSON with a key you can get today.
It is the price Mercari shows. It can differ from what the buyer paid, for example after an accepted offer.
One page of Mercari US sold listings for your keyword, up to 100 rows with count=100. Each row has the title, displayed price, sold date, condition and a link to the listing.
Every page also has a summary with the median, lowest and highest price. It is not a full sales history.
Send page set to next_page and cursor set to next_cursor from the last result, with the same filters, sort and count. You can request at most 100 pages.
The same listing can show up on more than one page, so deduplicate by id when you combine pages.
