Setup

Three steps. No code.

You need a Soldgraph API key and Gemini CLI installed.

  1. Get a key. Create a free account and make a key. It starts with sg_.
  2. Install the extension. Run the command on this page. Gemini asks you to confirm, then asks for your key.
  3. Ask. Start gemini and ask what something sold for. Check the connection any time with gemini mcp list.
Try asking

Plain English in, real sales out.

The assistant picks the tools, runs the searches and answers with links to each listing.

“What has a Nintendo Switch OLED sold for on eBay this month? Link three examples.”

Gemini runs ebay_sold and answers with the median, the range and links to real sales.

“Price every item in inventory.csv from eBay sold listings and add a median column.”

Gemini reads the file, runs one search per row and writes the medians back.

“What do Lululemon Align leggings sell for on Poshmark vs Mercari?”

Two sold searches, one answer: both medians side by side.

“How many Soldgraph requests do I have left?”

account_usage shows your plan and remaining requests. It's free.

Tools

19 tools, all read-only.

One prompt gives your assistant the endpoint, the sign-in header and how to wait for a result, so its first script works.

I'm building with the Soldgraph API. It returns sold and for-sale listings from eBay and other resale marketplaces.

Read the docs first: https://soldgraph.com/llms.txt
OpenAPI spec: https://soldgraph.com/openapi.json

Rules for the code you write:
- Base URL: https://api.soldgraph.com/v1
- Auth: send the header "Authorization: Bearer <key>". Read the key from the SOLDGRAPH_KEY environment variable. Never put it in browser code.
- eBay sold prices: GET /ebay/sold?q=<search words>. Add count=200 for up to 200 rows.
- A search often answers 202 with status "pending" and a poll_url. Request https://api.soldgraph.com plus poll_url with ?wait=20 and the same header, until status is "complete" or "failed".
- Read result.summary for the median, low and high price. The rows are in result.data, each with title, displayed_price, sold_date and link.
- Each completed search uses one request. A free account starts with 100 requests that do not refill, so save results while testing instead of repeating a search.

Start with a short script that prints the median sold price for "nintendo switch oled". Then ask me what I want to build.
Paste it in, add your key as SOLDGRAPH_KEY, and it writes working code.Open in ChatGPT Open in Claude

Soldgraph's hosted MCP server and a short context file that tells Gemini when to use it and how to read a price result. The source is open at github.com/soldgraph/soldgraph-agent.

Gemini CLI asks for it during install and stores it securely, in your system keychain when one is available. Change it with gemini extensions config soldgraph.

Run gemini extensions update soldgraph or gemini extensions uninstall soldgraph.

One request per completed search, the same as the API. Failed searches, account_usage and api_status are free.
