I'm building with the Soldgraph API. It returns sold and for-sale listings from eBay and other resale marketplaces. Read the docs first: https://soldgraph.com/llms.txt OpenAPI spec: https://soldgraph.com/openapi.json Rules for the code you write: - Base URL: https://api.soldgraph.com/v1 - Auth: send the header "Authorization: Bearer <key>". Read the key from the SOLDGRAPH_KEY environment variable. Never put it in browser code. - eBay sold prices: GET /ebay/sold?q=<search words>. Add count=200 for up to 200 rows. - A search often answers 202 with status "pending" and a poll_url. Request https://api.soldgraph.com plus poll_url with ?wait=20 and the same header, until status is "complete" or "failed". - Read result.summary for the median, low and high price. The rows are in result.data, each with title, displayed_price, sold_date and link. - Each completed search uses one request. The free plan has 100 a month, so save results while testing instead of repeating a search. Start with a short script that prints the median sold price for "nintendo switch oled". Then ask me what I want to build.
In most categories, 13.6% of the total sale up to $7,500 and 2.35% above that, plus $0.40 per order (or $0.30 when the order is $10 or less). This is for sellers without an eBay Store.
The total sale includes the item price, the shipping the buyer pays and sales tax.
Yes. eBay's final value fee is a percentage of the total amount of the sale, which includes sales tax. That's why the calculator asks for the buyer's tax rate.
Books, movies and music are 15.3%. Trading cards, comics and coins are 13.25%. Guitars and basses are 6.7%. Sneakers of $150 or more are 8% with no per-order fee.
Handbags are 15% up to $2,000 and 9% above. Jewelry and watches are 15% up to $5,000 and 9% above.
10% off the final value fee. The per-order fee stays the same.
With a general campaign, you pick an ad rate. You pay that percentage of the total sale only if the item sells through a click on the ad within 30 days.
Each marketplace's own fee page, checked on Oct 6, 2026. The sources are linked under the calculator. When a marketplace changes its fees, we update the rate and the date.
Look at what the same item actually sold for, not what it's listed at. Soldgraph's API returns sold prices from eBay, Mercari, Poshmark and other marketplaces, with the median and range for any search. A free key covers 100 searches a month.
